My name is Jane P. and I am 79 years old. I came to Dr. Wolff with pain in my glut muscle as well as a severe case of plantar fasciitis in my right foot. An MRI showed there were several tears in the tissue near my hip.
As someone who cannot take steroids, I had very few options after trying PT. I had a combination of PRP and biologic procedures done on both areas. After six weeks, I did not feel any pain in my hip and the improvement in my right foot was it about 50%. After three months, the pain in my right foot from plantar fasciitis was reduced to about 10%. Dr. Wolff explained that over the course of the next two months it should get even better. In addition, his treatment of the plantar fasciitis was such that I had no pain when he injected my foot since he numbed the nerve with an injection in my calf first.
I am a firm believer in this procedure to relieve inflammation, and I’m grateful that it exists since there were no other avenues available to me without succumb to a Cortizone injection.
These procedures are innovative, and being more widely accepted by numerous prestigious and respected institutions I.e.Mayo Clinic and Cleveland clinic to name a few. I am grateful to Dr. Wolff for suggesting this as a way to provide relief from pain.
